Art is all around us in Austin. On our East Side Art Tour, you’ll explore the vibrant world of street art that dominates the rapidly growing and changing East Side. Learn about the fascinating culture of street artists, what goes on behind the scenes, and about the rich history of this hip East Side neighborhood. See graffiti, murals, wheat pastes and much more!
When?
We are currently on our summer break! We will be back with more free tours in September. Private tours are available over the summer for those who can handle the heat.
Public tour schedules are released 2-3 weeks in advance during the free tour season, September through May. No reservations are required, just show up! Don’t see a time that works for you? Private tours are also available! Email Laura to set up a private tour.

Look for the guide wearing a green Tipster shirt or jacket near the fountain at Plaza Saltillo, on the corner of 5th & Comal St.
Parking Recommendation: There are some free parking spots along the south side of Plaza Saltillo (be careful not to park in spots marked for Cap Metro employees). If those are full, there is plenty of paid street parking nearby on 4th & 5th Streets.

Details
Meet at the benches on the Great Walk just outside the South entrance of the Texas State Capitol building, near the Heroes of the Alamo monument. Inside the grounds, right in front of the building. Look for a guide in a green Tipster shirt.
Parking Recommendation: Capitol Visitors Center Parking, first two hours free unless it’s close to UT Football or event time. Street parking is also available in the surrounding area. Allow 5-10 minutes to park and walk onto the Capitol grounds. Alternatively, find street parking near the end of the tour at 6th & Brazos (free two-hour parking on some blocks of 6th).
